When Bret invites Betty and Jug to the Ides of March party in the woods, Jug says yes, before promising Betty that he has a plan and is going to take care of things.

Then he tells her he loves her before they kiss… one last time. But as far as graduation is concerned, he has a plan: go to summer school for his diploma, take a skip year, and then apply to colleges for the spring semester.

And Veronica is on board. While Veronica and Archie are off, Jughead shows up to the party wearing his Serpent jacket and a bunny mask, at which point he follows Bret into the woods to settle their unfinished business.

But just as he follows Bret, Betty follows Donna. Just like that, the core four have been bested by the stuck-up four.

And so when he says no, she decides to send a message. Or rather, Cheryl decides to send one for her. Cheryl admits that the Poisons belong to Toni and promises never to deploy the Poisons in that way again without permission.

When Alice brings her wedding dress down to get it altered, Betty finds out that her mother is about to be baptized into the Farm. With no time on her hands, Betty decides to run across town — surely there was a faster way to do this?

Betty then performs CPR — which she just knows how to do — and brings her mom back to life, an act that backfires when Alice declares that she was reborn just as the Farm promised.

Now, she intends to sell their house so that they can all live together at the Farm. So weirdly I think Archie might have come out of this episode as the biggest winner?
